2021 Hyundai Elantra vs 2020 Hyundai Elantra

Serving Fresno, CA

The 2020 Hyundai Elantra is an appealing option for compact car shoppers in the Fresno area, and it could be the model that you have had your eye on. For 2021, the Elantra breaks into its seventh generation and brings thrilling updates from bumper to bumper. Lithia Hyundai of Fresno is honored to help you learn more about the differences between these two impressive model years.

The updates to the next-generation Hyundai Elantra begin under the hood. The 2.0-liter, 147-horsepower engine that is standard in the 2020 model year remains an option for the 2021 Elantra. It continues to be paired with a continuously variable transmission. For the first time, the Elantra is available with a 1.6-liter turbo engine linked to your choice of two transmissions. The options are a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The turbo engine delivers 201 horsepower. In addition, the 2021 Elantra introduces a hybrid powertrain option.

The 2021 Hyundai Elantra also shows off new styling. Compared to the 2020 Elantra, the new model year has restyled LED headlights that have an exciting bend as they follow the outline of the hood. The grille is longer with a new mesh style. You may also notice that the body of the 2021 Hyundai Elantra is slightly longer. The side contours diverge into two unique sections as they run through the center of the door panels.

The updates to the next-generation Elantra continue inside the cabin. The redesigned dashboard and center console show off a decorative dividing piece that angles to create a sense of separation between the front passenger and the vehicle’s various controls and technologies. Some of the many features that you can appreciate in the 2021 Elantra include a navigation system, up to a 10.25-inch display screen, mounted functions on the steering wheel, a sound system, and other gear.
