Fuel cell technology is the wave of the future. It uses hydrogen to power a vehicle, and emits zero emissions. It's also quiet, as you don't hear an engine noise at all, and of course, efficient. But, fuel cell vehicles can perform, too, and Hyundai went out to set a record to prove it.

With the Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell, the automaker headed to the Soggy Dry Lake Bed in the California desert and set out to take the land speed record for a hydrogen-powered SUV. They were able to set it by going a top speed of 94.6 miles per hour. That should let you know that even powered by water, a vehicle can perform in any situation. In addition, the fuel cell stack could run for 265 miles, which would cover the whole desert, and it only takes five minutes to fill up.
